India’s wind energy sector, led by IWTMA, is investing in technology, capacity, and workforce to achieve 100 GW by 2030.

With over 50 GW already installed, the industry aligns with the government’s clean energy vision. India has 18 GW annual manufacturing capacity, supporting major players like Suzlon, Vestas, and Siemens Gamesa. Wind is expected to drive significant employment, with a 19% hiring increase in FY25 and over 55% of the workforce aged 26–35. As a reliable complement to solar energy, wind ensures grid stability and affordable, round-the-clock green power. IWTMA urges continued policy support, infrastructure upgrades, and regulatory streamlining to position India as a global wind energy leader and export hub.
