LONGI, a global solar PV solutions leader, has partnered with Pertamina New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE) to set up a 1.6 GW solar panel manufacturing facility in Deltamas, West Java, Indonesia.

Slated to begin preparations by June 2025, the plant will utilize LONGI’s advanced Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC) 2.0 technology. This strategic collaboration aims to bolster Indonesia’s solar manufacturing capacity and support its national energy transition goals under the RUPTL 2025–2034 plan, which targets 17.1 GW of new solar PV installations. The initiative focuses on enhancing local supply chains and increasing Domestic Component Level (TKDN) compliance. By combining LONGI’s global technology with Pertamina NRE’s market expertise, the facility is expected to reduce costs, promote innovation, and create green jobs. LONGI’s Vice President Dennis She emphasized the company's commitment to supporting Indonesia’s clean energy future and Southeast Asia’s broader transition to renewable energy through localized production and sustainable infrastructure.
