YEIDA has set a June 30, 2025 deadline for Greenbay Infrastructure to deposit ₹110 crore, warning that failure to comply will lead to the cancellation of its 100-acre land allotment in Sector 22D for a planned township project.

The land, allotted in 2011, saw partial subleasing to Emerald Properties in 2014. Under the UP government’s 2023 rehabilitation package for stalled projects, Greenbay’s dues were recalculated to ₹441 crore, with ₹110 crore paid upfront. However, it missed the first instalment due in January 2025, citing inaccessibility of 30% of the land still under cultivation. Greenbay requested permission to sublease a commercial plot to raise funds, but YEIDA rejected it, stating the scheme permits subleases only for homebuyers. The authority has denied further payment extensions, warning of cancellation if the instalment isn’t paid. Greenbay maintains it is committed to completing the project but seeks relief on inaccessible land interest and unresolved access issues.
