BHAVYA Scheme Attracts 87 Proposals for Industrial Parks in Phase-1.

The Centre has received 87 proposals from states and Union Territories in the first round of Phase-1 of the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA), a ₹33,660 crore scheme aimed at strengthening India’s industrial infrastructure. The first application window closed on July 31, with Maharashtra leading the submissions with 14 proposals, followed by Madhya Pradesh (11), Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu (7 each), and Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat (6 each). The ambitious scheme plans to develop 100 industrial parks over six years, with 50 projects proposed under the first phase. The government expects to shortlist up to 20 proposals in the first round based on predefined evaluation criteria. The second application window opened on August 1 and will remain open until September 30. The BHAVYA scheme is expected to enhance industrial growth, attract investments, generate employment, and strengthen India’s manufacturing ecosystem nationwide.
