Adani Airports to Raise $1 Billion, Investors to Get 5.54% Stake.

A $1 billion investment powers Adani Airports’ next phase of expansion and global ambitions.

Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) has entered into binding agreements to raise around $1 billion (₹19,825 crore) through a primary equity investment from a consortium of leading domestic and global investors. The consortium includes Alpha Wave Global, Premji Invest, Temasek and funds managed by BlackRock. The transaction values AAHL at a pre-money equity valuation of approximately $18 billion, with investors set to collectively acquire around a 5.54% stake after completion of three tranches. The final tranche is expected by July 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. AAHL operates eight airports across India and serves more than 23% of the country’s total passenger traffic. The fresh capital will support airport expansion, airport-city developments, ground handling and passenger-focused businesses. The company said the investment will strengthen its ambition to build a globally scaled integrated airport platform, capitalising on India's rising air-travel demand and expanding connectivity.
