I am Sapna Aggarwal, the founder of Ansa Interiors, a design firm I started over 22 years ago. With a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces, I have worked on a wide range of residential and commercial projects. 

What inspires your design style?

My design style is inspired by a blend of functionality, luxury, and innovation. I draw inspiration from global design trends, cultural influences, and sustainable practices to create unique and personalized spaces for my clients

What is a modern home interior design?

Modern home interior design focuses on minimalism, clean lines, open spaces, and functionality. It incorporates neutral color palettes, smart storage solutions, and a mix of natural and industrial materials to create a sl e e k ye t comfort abl e l i v ing environment.

How do you handle tight deadlines and budget constraints?

I prioriti ze effi c ient projec t management by setting clear timelines, maintaining open communication with clients and vendors, and ensuring m e ti c u l o u s p l a n n i n g . B u d g e t constraints are managed by selecting cost-effective yet high-quality materials and optimizing resources without compromising the design vision.

Can you describe a challenging project and how you managed it?

One of the most challenging projects I worked on involved a highend residential renovation with strict deadlines and an evolving client vision. I managed it by staying flexible, breaking down tasks into manageable phases, and coordina ting c los e l y with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery without sacrificing quality.

Could you describe your design philosophy and how it informs your projects?

My design philosophy revolves around blending aesthetics with functionality. I believe that a welldesigned space should enhance the lifestyle and well-being of its occupants while reflecting their personality. This approach ensures that each project is unique and tailored to client needs. 

How do you manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines?

I rely on strong project management skills, delegation, and technologydriven solutions. Keeping detailed project timelines, collaborating with a skilled team, and maintaining transparency with clients help me ensure smooth execution across multiple projects.

How do you handle changes or revisions requested by clients during a project?

Flexibility and clear communication are key. I discuss the impact of changes on timelines and budgets with clients and explore feasible solutions that align with the project's vision without causing major delays

How do you stay updated with the latest industry trends and standards?

I regularly attend design expos, network with industry experts, follow global design publications, and engage in continuous learning to stay ahead of trends and emerging technologies in interior design.

What is your approach to incorporating sustainable design practices into your projects?

Sustainability is an integral part of my design process. I incorporate ecofriendly materials, energy-efficient lighting, and smart home technology to create spaces that are both stylish and environmentally responsible. 

Where do you see yourself in five years within the interior design industry?

I aim to expand Ansa Interiors internationally, particularly in Dubai, and collaborate with influencers and brands to strengthen our global presence. Additionally, I plan to explore new design innovations and sustainable solutions to stay ahead in the industry.

Creativity, adaptability, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance aesthetics with functionality are essential qualities for success in interior design.
