Solarium Green Energy to Set Up ₹270 Cr, 1000 MW Solar Module Plant in Ahmedabad by FY26
Gujarat, with a capex of ₹270 crore, funded via a 3:1 debt-to-equity ratio. Expected to be operational by Q4 FY26, the plant is part of Solarium’s backward integration strategy aimed at securing its supply chain and improving project margins by 5–8%. The facility will produce advanced Crystalline Silicon Solar PV Modules using TOPCon, half-cut, and bifacial cell technologies, supported by high-end imported machinery. At 85% capacity utilization, annual revenues could exceed ₹1,000 crore through open market sales. Chairman Ankit Garg emphasized that the move will boost efficiency, control quality, and reduce cost volatility. Solarium is also launching structure manufacturing at its Bavla facility and has partnered with Watt Power Systems to distribute premium inverters in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. These initiatives mark Solarium's aggressive expansion in the solar energy ecosystem.
