Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani announced an additional ₹50,000 crore investment in the Northeast over the next decade, raising the group’s total commitment to ₹1 lakh crore. The announcement was made at the Rising Northeast Investors Summit in New Delhi. The fresh allocation will focus on green energy, smart meters, hydro power, power transmission, roads, digital infrastructure, logistics, and skilling centres. Adani emphasized the group's commitment to local employment, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. “We will invest in people, not just infrastructure,” he stated. Highlighting regional progress, Adani noted that since 2014, investments of ₹16.2 lakh crore have transformed the Northeast’s connectivity, doubling the road network to 16,000 km and increasing airports from 9 to 15. Aligning with PM Modi’s “Act East, Act Fast, Act First” vision, Adani affirmed support for the “Viksit Bharat 2047” mission, pledging to contribute to India’s economic transformation.
