PM Modi Launches ₹1.77 Lakh Cr Projects Across Gujarat

During his two-day visit to Gujarat starting May 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated infrastructure projects worth ₹77,400 crore, marking a major push for sustainable development.

In Dahod, he dedicated a cutting-edge electric locomotive manufacturing plant set to produce 9000 HP engines for domestic use and export, symbolizing a new era in Indian railways. He also launched multiple development projects worth ₹24,000 crore, including new rail lines and the Vande Bharat Express between Veraval and Ahmedabad. In Bhuj, projects exceeding ₹1.53 lakh crore were inaugurated, focusing on energy, ports, roads, and solar power, including work on the Khavda Renewable Energy Park and a supercritical power unit in Tapi. On May 27 in Gandhinagar, Modi will mark 20 years of Gujarat’s urban development journey, inaugurate 22,000 PMAY homes, and release ₹3,300 crore to urban local bodies, reinforcing his commitment to planned urban growth and affordable housing.
