PM Modi to Inaugurate ₹12,000 Crore Delhi–Dehradun Expressway on April 14.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the ₹12,000 crore Delhi–Dehradun Expressway on April 14 during his visit to Uttarakhand. The 210-km-long corridor is expected to transform road connectivity between the national capital and Dehradun, reducing travel time from nearly 6.5 hours to about 2.5 hours. Designed for a speed of 100 kmph, the expressway will feature five toll plazas and a dedicated spur connecting Haridwar. It will also link with the Char Dham Highway, significantly improving access to major pilgrimage destinations and hill stations across Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Ahead of the inauguration, PM Modi will offer prayers at the historic Dat Kali Temple, where elaborate preparations and heightened security are underway. Senior leaders, including Pushkar Singh Dhami and Yogi Adityanath, are expected to attend the event.
