Adani Group has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding clean energy investments in Odisha after Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo. The discussions focused on developing pumped storage plants (PSPs), solar power projects, and nuclear energy to strengthen Odisha's long-term energy security and sustainability goals. The group also proposed setting up two 3,000 MW nuclear power plants, highlighting the importance of reliable, carbon-free baseload power alongside renewable energy expansion. Earlier, the company had expressed plans to invest ₹1.5 lakh crore in Odisha's power sector. Senior government officials participated in the meetings, exploring opportunities to accelerate clean energy deployment, improve grid reliability, and support the state's transition to a resilient, low-carbon energy ecosystem. The proposed investments are expected to significantly enhance Odisha's future energy infrastructure and economic growth.
