Air India has urged the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA)

To reduce landing charges by 30% for long-haul and ultra long-haul flights at Delhi airport to support India's aviation hub aspirations. The airline also seeks incentives for increasing international-to-international (I2I) traffic and a 20% cut in User Development Fees (UDF) to promote wide-body aircraft use on domestic routes. With Delhi and Mumbai emerging as key hubs, Air India believes lower tariffs will enhance transit traffic and boost economic activities. The proposals are part of the tariff consultation for the Delhi airport’s 2024-29 control period.
