Star Alliance CEO Theo Panagiotoulias highlighted the move as a milestone, enhancing seamless global travel. ITA Airways CEO Joerg Eberhart expressed excitement about bringing "Made in Italy" excellence to the alliance. Lufthansa Group is overseeing ITA’s integration, with Chief Commercial Officer Dieter Vranckx ensuring a smooth transition. Upon induction, Star Alliance will expand to 26 members, offering over 18,000 daily flights across 192 countries.
