Renacon Launches RENAFLEX Fibre Cement Boards, Advancing Sustainable Construction in India
₹350 crore green building materials facility at Naidupeta introduces Laminar Flow Technology to India
Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Renacon, the flagship building materials brand of the Renaatus Group, Erode, has announced the launch of RENAFLEX Fibre Cement Boards through Renaatus Products Private Limited.
The launch marks an important milestone in Renacon’s transformation from a manufacturer of green building materials into a comprehensive building solutions provider.
Backed by an investment of ₹350 crore, Renacon has established an integrated manufacturing facility at Naidupeta in Andhra Pradesh for the production of AAC Blocks, Rapid Wall Panels and Fibre Cement Boards.
Built in just 12 months, the facility introduces globally benchmarked Laminar Flow Technology to India. The technology enables the production of precision-engineered and sustainable building materials designed to meet the evolving requirements of modern construction.
A Major Step Towards Complete Building Solutions
Speaking at the launch, P. Selva Sundaram, Chairman and Managing Director of Renaatus Group, said the introduction of RENAFLEX represents a defining milestone in Renacon’s journey towards becoming a complete building solutions provider.
He said the company’s ₹350 crore investment reflects its long-term vision of combining advanced manufacturing, innovation and sustainability to develop world-class products for India’s construction industry.
According to him, the introduction of globally proven Laminar Flow Technology will enable Renacon to manufacture Fibre Cement Boards offering superior strength, precision, durability and consistency.
The products are intended to support faster, safer and more environmentally responsible construction.
As India accelerates its infrastructure development under Vision 2047 and the Make in India initiative, RENAFLEX aims to support architects, developers, contractors and homeowners with high-performance building materials designed for future construction requirements.
Expanding Renacon’s Sustainable Product Portfolio
The launch strengthens Renacon’s growing building materials portfolio, which includes:
- Renacon AAC Blocks
- Rapid Wall AAC Sandwich Panels
- Renafix Drymix Products
- RENAFLEX Fibre Cement Boards
Renacon AAC Blocks are manufactured across three facilities in Tamil Nadu, with a combined annual production capacity of one million cubic metres.
With India’s construction industry increasingly adopting sustainable and high-performance building materials, Renacon expects RENAFLEX to contribute to the growth of modern drywall systems.
The solution can help address labour shortages while supporting faster, safer and more environmentally responsible construction across residential, commercial and industrial projects.
RENAFLEX can also support the faster completion of government housing programmes, including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0, which targets one crore additional houses, and the Affordable Rental Housing Complexes scheme.
Growth Potential in India’s Construction Market
India’s AAC market has reportedly grown at a compound annual growth rate of approximately 10–12% since 2010 and is expected to expand by nearly 15% annually over the next five years.
Renacon expects RENAFLEX to accelerate the adoption of advanced Fibre Cement Board systems and support India’s transition towards faster, greener and more sustainable construction.
The company is targeting 100% utilisation of its existing Naidupeta plant by March 2027. This is expected to help RENAFLEX secure a significant share of India’s Fibre Cement Board market within approximately 18 months.
Asia’s Largest Integrated AAC and Fibre Cement Board Facility
The Naidupeta facility has an annual Fibre Cement Board production capacity of 60,000 metric tonnes.
According to the company, this makes it Asia’s largest integrated AAC and Fibre Cement Board manufacturing facility.
The project is expected to generate direct and indirect employment opportunities for more than 1,000 people while strengthening domestic manufacturing under the Government of India’s Make in India initiative.
