From Village Roads to Global Links — Telangana Builds the Future.
Telangana Launches First Road Sector Policy for Vision 2047 Connectivity Push.
Telangana unveiled its first-ever Road Sector Policy at the Rising Global Summit, outlining a 20-year connectivity blueprint under Vision 2047. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Roads & Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy introduced the Rising Telangana Road Development Programme, aimed at strengthening links from villages to mandals, districts, and Hyderabad’s urban core. The policy integrates roads, railways, aviation, metro expansion, MMTS upgrades, BRT systems, and high-speed rail corridors. Telangana is also pushing major projects like the Regional Ring Road, radial road networks, an eight-lane greenfield expressway between Telugu capitals, and a Srisailam elevated corridor. The state is investing in dry ports, logistics hubs, metro extensions, and airport infrastructure to position itself as a national mobility and economic hub. With multimodal transport demand set to double, experts stress the need for 300 km more metro lines and strengthened public transit systems.
