Perched high above the vibrant skyline of Mumbai, The Urban Whisper is a thoughtfully designed residence that offers a peaceful retreat from the intensity of city life. Designed by ANS Design House under the creative direction of Shivangi Shahane Phanse, the home reflects a refined balance between minimalism, comfort, and quiet sophistication.

The design philosophy centers on creating a harmonious dialogue between openness and restraint. Natural light, expansive views, and a soft material palette define the space, resulting in an environment that feels calm, elevated, and timeless. Rather than relying on bold statements, the interiors express elegance through subtle textures, muted tones, and carefully curated details.

Entrance / Foyer – Urban Elegance
The foyer sets a refined tone for the home. A sleek shoe rack paired with a bold black console creates a balance between functionality and modern design. Rich damask wallpaper introduces depth, while gold-rimmed mirrors and candlelight accents bring warmth and character, establishing a welcoming and tranquil first impression.

Living Space – Skyline Serenity
The living room acts as a serene retreat above the city. Neutral tones and soft curves shape the space, creating a calming yet sophisticated environment. A beautifully designed mandir sits within a softly lit arched niche, becoming a spiritual focal point. A glass-partitioned study area ensures privacy without interrupting visual openness. The seating arrangement features a sculptural sofa layered with textured cushions, complemented by sage-green accents in curtains and niches. The TV wall, crafted in matte Satu Vario marble with fluted veneer panels, adds understated luxury while maintaining the room’s calm aesthetic.

Dining & Kitchen – Integrated Vibrancy
The kitchen has been reimagined into an open layout, seamlessly connecting with the living space to enhance flow and natural light. Warm wood veneer cabinetry continues the home’s cohesive palette, while matte taupe base units anchor the design. Subtle pumpkin-orange niches introduce a vibrant yet refined contrast. The dining area blends muted seating with the existing table, illuminated by elegant crystal pendant lights, creating a space that is both functional and visually engaging.

Bedrooms – Personal Sanctuaries
Each bedroom is designed as a unique yet harmonious extension of the home’s overall theme.
The master bedroom features motif-rich wallpaper, a soft peach upholstered headboard, and vertical veneer paneling, creating a warm and restful environment. Neutral furnishings and beige moldings enhance the sense of calm.

The son’s room adopts a contemporary approach with monochrome tree-inspired wallpaper, a plush green bed, and minimalist grooved wardrobes. A compact study nook and subtle red accents add personality without overwhelming the design.

The daughter’s room embraces a soothing green palette with botanical wallpaper, an olive-green fluted headboard, and a cozy reading corner by the window, creating a calm and nurturing personal space.
