“Transparent data, stronger bids—NHAI accelerates India’s highway growth.”
NHAI Invites Bids for 52 Highway Projects Worth ₹1.15 Lakh Crore in FY26
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for 52 highway projects so far in FY26, covering 2,188 km with an estimated capital cost of ₹1.15 lakh crore. To enhance transparency and streamline the bidding process, NHAI has published detailed project data on its website, including land acquisition status, project length, mode of implementation (BOT, HAM, EPC), and updates on environment, forest, and railway clearances. The authority stated that making this information publicly accessible will create a level playing field for all bidders and help reduce disputes. Additionally, NHAI will update the project information every two weeks, enabling contractors, developers, and investors to stay informed about opportunities and project progress in real time. This initiative aligns with the government’s push for open governance and aims to improve efficiency in national highway development.
