Mumbai Property Registrations Rise 32% YoY in September
Mumbai recorded 12,070 property registrations in September, marking a 32% year-on-year increase and highlighting the continued resilience of the city’s residential real estate market. According to Ayushi Ashar, Director, Ashar Group, sustained registration momentum reflects healthy homebuyer confidence, supported by improving connectivity, infrastructure-led development and demand for well-located, quality homes across Mumbai and the wider MMR.
The upcoming festive period is expected to support market activity, with favourable buyer sentiment, attractive offers and new project launches potentially encouraging fence-sitting buyers to accelerate purchase decisions. Demand is expected to remain broad-based across both end-users and investors, covering established as well as emerging micro-markets.
Going forward, developers will need to align residential offerings with evolving buyer expectations around lifestyle amenities, connectivity, sustainability and value. With the festive season approaching, Mumbai and the wider MMR could continue to see healthy sales activity and registration momentum.
