Proposed multi-gigawatt manufacturing platform will produce AI racks, servers, storage systems and cooling equipment for Indian and global markets. Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) and US-based Jabil Inc have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a 50:50 joint venture for manufacturing and assembling artificial intelligence (AI) and data centre hardware in India. The proposed venture will develop a multi-gigawatt manufacturing platform covering AI racks, servers, storage systems, networking hardware, transformers, power distribution units and liquid-cooling systems. It will also provide installation and commissioning services. The partnership comes amid rising demand for cloud computing, AI applications and digital infrastructure. The companies estimate that India’s data centre capacity could reach 5–8 GW by 2030, while the global AI computing infrastructure market could exceed $3 trillion over the next seven years. The venture aims to serve domestic customers and international markets, including hyperscalers, data centre operators and enterprises. The initiative complements Adani Group’s commitment to invest $100 billion in developing 5 GW of green-energy-powered, AI-ready data centres by 2035, while strengthening Jabil’s manufacturing presence in India.
