Gera Developments Introduces The Gera Advantage for Financial Support and Long-Term Home Protection

Gera Developments Private Limited (GDPL) has announced The Gera Advantage, a customer-first programme designed to support homebuyers through financial uncertainties before possession and provide continued home protection after moving in. Announced in Pune on October 22, 2026, the programme combines three financial-support initiatives—EMI Shield, Home Equity Power and Medical Emergency Support—with Extended Home Protection.

EMI Shield: Support During Job Loss

EMI Shield helps eligible salaried customers facing involuntary job loss by reimbursing monthly home-loan pre-EMI payments for up to six months, or until re-employment if that occurs sooner. The interest-free assistance is repayable in two instalments after the support period or in full at possession, whichever comes earlier. Eligibility conditions apply.

Home Equity Power: Financial Flexibility

Home Equity Power provides eligible customers with short-term financial assistance against their own contribution already paid towards the property. Customers who have paid at least 10% of the property's consideration value from their own funds may receive assistance of up to 50% of that contribution or 10% of the consideration value, whichever is lower, excluding GST. The assistance carries interest at the applicable RERA rate and must be repaid within six months or by possession, whichever comes earlier. Applicable housing finance covenants and other conditions apply.

Medical Emergency Support: Options for Families

Medical Emergency Support helps eligible customers manage qualifying medical emergencies affecting them or an eligible immediate family member, as well as specified bereavement situations. Subject to programme terms, customers may transfer their unit without paying the applicable transfer fee under the waived no-sale-till-possession restriction. Alternatively, they may downgrade to a smaller, lower-value available home, with eligible appreciation on their existing unit taken into account.

Extended Home Protection: Care After Possession

Extended Home Protection provides annual preventive home maintenance health checks for seven years from the date of the Occupancy Certificate (OC). Customers receive a Home Health Check Report following each inspection, detailing observations and recommended actions. Covered defects are addressed under the applicable warranty, while non-warranty repairs can be arranged on a chargeable basis with the customer's prior approval. The benefit also includes a 10-year structural warranty.
