ReNew to Invest ₹82,000 Crore Across the Full Renewable Energy Value Chain in Andhra Pradesh.
ReNew, a leading decarbonisation and renewable energy solutions company, has announced an ambitious ₹82,000 crore investment in Andhra Pradesh, covering the entire renewable energy value chain. The investment will include solar ingot and wafer manufacturing, project development, and green hydrogen production, marking ReNew’s major comeback to the state after five years. Announcing the development, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh said the move represents a “comprehensive, all-in investment” across the renewable energy ecosystem. Earlier in May, Lokesh had laid the foundation for ReNew’s ₹22,000 crore hybrid renewable energy project in Anantapur district, featuring a 4.8 GWp hybrid farm with battery energy storage systems (BESS) at Bethapalli village, Gooty mandal. The large-scale commitment aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s push to become a key hub for green energy and clean technology, supporting India’s broader energy transition and decarbonisation goals.
