Wind-solar projects in Gujarat and Karnataka to support Shell’s decarbonisation goals.
CleanMax to Supply 30 MW of Hybrid Renewable Power to Shell India Assets.
CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions has announced plans to supply around 30 MW of hybrid renewable energy to Shell India’s assets across Gujarat and Karnataka under the group-captive model. In Gujarat, CleanMax is developing a 16.83 MW hybrid project comprising 6.93 MW of solar and 9.90 MW of wind capacity to power Shell’s LNG terminal at Hazira. In Karnataka, the company is setting up a 13.2 MW hybrid project comprising 9.9 MW of solar capacity at Jagalur and 3.3 MW of wind capacity at Honawad to supply electricity to the Shell Technology Centre in Bengaluru. The projects are expected to generate about 66,832 MWh of renewable energy annually under long-term power purchase agreements. Both CleanMax and Shell will co-invest in these projects, reinforcing corporate participation in India’s energy transition and efforts to reduce carbon intensity while ensuring a reliable and cost-stable power supply.
