At the Adani Group’s AGM, Chairman Gautam Adani denied any wrongdoing in US bribery allegations, stating that no individual from the group has been charged under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) or for obstruction of justice.
He called the allegations “baseless” and reaffirmed the group’s cooperation with legal processes. The denial follows a November indictment by US authorities accusing Adani executives of bribery and misleading investors. The group is also under SEBI investigation after Hindenburg Research’s 2023 report alleged misuse of offshore tax havens—charges the group strongly denies. Amid ongoing scrutiny, Adani highlighted the company’s resilience and ambitious growth plans. The group is constructing the world’s largest renewable energy park in Khavda and targets 100 GW of total power capacity by 2030, including 50 GW from renewables. Adani also announced a record $15–20 billion annual capex over the next five years to support infrastructure and energy expansion.
