Brookfield Expands Office Footprint in Mumbai's Powai with Land Deal

Brookfield Group subsidiary Moon Holdings (DIFC) has acquired a majority stake in SPVs BSS Property Ventures and Rajeshwar Property Ventures, gaining control of 6 acres of prime land in Mumbai's Powai. The deal includes over 1 lakh sq ft of permissible FSI and is part of a rehabilitation project commissioned by MMRDA. Brookfield has already invested ₹600 crore, with plans for further investments to build Grade-A office properties. The funds were used to settle debts with lenders, including SBI, ICICI Bank, and Edelweiss ARC. This deal strengthens Brookfield's 55 million sq ft commercial real estate portfolio, with 9 million sq ft in Mumbai.
