Gujarat Solar Equipment Maker to Invest ₹1,700 Crore in Ratlam.

Gujarat-based solar equipment manufacturer Hexatron has announced an investment of ₹1,700 crore at the Ratlam Investment Region (IR), providing a major boost to renewable energy manufacturing and employment generation in western Madhya Pradesh. The proposed facility will focus on manufacturing solar equipment and related components, aligning with the Centre and state government’s push for clean energy and domestic manufacturing. Confirming the investment, Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) Managing Director Chandramauli Shukla said the project reflects growing investor confidence in Ratlam’s infrastructure, policy support and long-term growth potential. Once operational, the unit is expected to generate around 3,000 direct jobs and help build a strong renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem in the region. With Hexatron’s entry, total committed investments in the Ratlam Investment Region have risen to nearly ₹12,000 crore from five industrial units. Officials said projects of this scale will also spur ancillary industries such as logistics, fabrication and services, reshaping Ratlam’s economic landscape and strengthening its position as an emerging industrial hub in Madhya Pradesh.
