Hurun India Honours Casagrand Founder Arun Mn as Self-Made Real Estate Entrepreneur of the Year

Mumbai: Hurun India has honoured Arun Mn, Founder and Managing Director of Casagrand, with the Self-Made Real Estate Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the India Real Estate Leadership Conclave & Excellence Awards 2026.

Hosted by Hurun India in association with GROHE, the event in Mumbai brought together real estate entrepreneurs, developers and industry stakeholders to recognise leadership and entrepreneurship across India’s real estate sector.

From a 12-Apartment Project to a Multi-Market Developer

The recognition highlights Arun Mn’s entrepreneurial journey of building Casagrand from its beginnings in Chennai into a real estate business operating across multiple markets.

His journey began with a 12-apartment residential project in Chennai in 2003.

Since then, Casagrand has expanded its portfolio to 180+ projects spanning more than 88 million sq. ft., covering a variety of residential formats including apartments, villas, high-rise residences, floor villas and large-format residential communities.

The company’s portfolio includes developments such as the 41-acre Casagrand Highcity and 40-acre Casagrand Suncity.

Expansion Beyond Chennai

Over more than two decades, Casagrand has expanded beyond its Chennai base into markets including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Pune and Dubai.

According to the company, its strategy has focused significantly on developing mid-segment homes with a broad range of amenities and features while considering affordability and the aspirations of homebuyers.

The company’s residential portfolio now spans luxury, mid-end and affordable categories.

Recognition of Entrepreneurial Growth

The Self-Made Real Estate Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognises Arun Mn’s role in the development and expansion of Casagrand.

Hurun India Real Estate Conclave Marks 10th Edition

The 2026 edition also marks a decade of Hurun India and GROHE’s real estate recognition platform.

The 10th edition saw the return of the flagship pan-India conclave, bringing together entrepreneurs and stakeholders from different parts of the country's real estate industry.

The programme included discussions around entrepreneurship, leadership and the changing dynamics of India's property market.

The recognition comes as Casagrand continues to expand beyond its established South Indian markets and works towards developing a wider national presence.

According to company data citing a CBRE report, Casagrand held approximately 25% market share in Chennai's residential launches and around 18% in demand during the period from January 1, 2017 to June 30, 2025.
