Police register cheating case as landowners accuse developer of transferring allotted plots to third parties.

Gurugram Police have registered a cheating and criminal conspiracy case against Orris Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., its directors Vijay Gupta and Amit Gupta, and authorised signatory Jitender Singh over an alleged land agreement fraud linked to a residential project near Manesar. According to the FIR, the legal heirs of landowner Anand Prakash alleged that despite a registered collaboration agreement signed in 2010, the developer transferred several plots originally allotted to them to third parties. The agreement promised developed residential plots in exchange for agricultural land contributed for development. The complainants claim possession was delayed for years, conveyance deeds were never executed, and three allotted plots were found transferred, with construction underway on one of them. They also alleged pressure to sign settlement agreements in exchange for possession. Gurugram Police have begun investigating the matter and stated that appropriate legal action will be taken after verification of the facts.
