Hero Future Energies (HFE), the renewable energy arm of the Hero Group, has signed a ₹30,000 crore MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government to develop 4 GW of solar and wind projects across Ananthapuramu, Kurnool, and Kadapa districts. The large-scale green energy projects will be executed in two phases and are expected to generate over 15,000 direct and indirect jobs, strengthening the state’s renewable energy ecosystem. HFE Global CEO Srivatsan Iyer said the initiative represents a model of sustainable industrial growth that blends scale, innovation, and economic impact. Founder and CMD Rahul Munjal added that Andhra Pradesh’s supportive policy environment and strong infrastructure make it a prime destination for clean energy investments. The MoU, valid for 12 months, will enable swift project development with support from NREDCAP and APEDB. Backed by investors like KKR and IFC, HFE has recently secured major renewable energy partnerships and financing across India.
