Hartek Power Wins ₹354 Crore EPC Contract for Solar-Plus-Storage Project in Karnataka.
Hartek Power has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth ₹354 crore for a large solar power project integrated with battery energy storage in Karnataka. As per the company’s announcement, Hartek will execute a 280 MW AC (410 MW DC) solar power plant along with an 80 MW / 320 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at Challakere. The project marks a significant milestone in Hartek’s expansion into utility-scale energy storage alongside renewable generation. The scope of work includes complete design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the project, along with one year of operations and maintenance services. Simarpreet Singh, Executive Director and CEO of Hartek Group, said the project strengthens the company’s presence in the utility-scale solar segment and reflects its growing capabilities in integrated solar and storage solutions. The project aligns with India’s focus on round-the-clock renewable energy and grid stability through storage-backed clean power systems.
