Industrial Transition Accelerator to Unveil Report on 65 Decarbonisation Projects Across Key Sectors.                                                                                                         

The Industrial Transition Accelerator (ITA), a global multistakeholder initiative launched at COP28, will release a comprehensive report on November 4 in New Delhi, detailing over 65 decarbonisation projects across steel, aluminium, cement, chemicals, and aviation sectors. The projects, evaluated for their potential to reach Final Investment Decision (FID), aim to demonstrate that industrial decarbonisation can be both profitable and scalable. ITA’s analysis identifies opportunities and key barriers hindering progress toward low-carbon production. James Schofield, Managing Director of ITA, said India is strategically positioned to lead the global clean industrial transition, backed by its low-cost renewable energy, innovative private sector, and strong policy push toward net zero. The upcoming report underscores how collaboration, clean technologies, and sustainable business models can transform heavy industries, driving global momentum for a profitable path to decarbonisation and climate resilience.
