The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) informed a Delhi court on Monday that Najeeb Ahmed.
The JNU student who went missing in 2016, had refused treatment at Safdarjung Hospital after allegedly being assaulted by members of the RSS-affiliated ABVP. The agency made this submission before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Jyoti Maheshwari at Rouse Avenue Courts during arguments on its closure report in the case. The CBI had earlier filed a closure report citing lack of evidence in the disappearance. The court is currently hearing objections to the report from Najeeb's family, who continue to demand further investigation.
