Ujjain–Shajapur to Become Green Energy Hub with ₹8,174 Crore Investment

The Ujjain–Shajapur belt in Madhya Pradesh is set to emerge as a major green energy and solar equipment manufacturing hub, backed by investments totalling ₹8,174 crore. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone and inaugurated six industrial units in Shajapur, signalling a new era of sustainable industrial growth for the Malwa region. The investments are expected to generate over 15,000 direct and indirect jobs. A key highlight is the upcoming manufacturing unit of M/s Jackson Integrated Solar Limited, which alone accounts for ₹7,104.89 crore and is slated to be operational by July 2026. Yadav emphasised the region’s strategic advantage, noting that Ujjain, Dewas, and Shajapur are evolving into an industrial triad with strong connectivity and growing green energy infrastructure. He added that Maksi is positioned to become Central India’s leading green manufacturing hub, supporting processing, packaging, and storage facilities for local industries.
