DTCP Directs DLF to Intensify Monitoring of Vacant Plots in DLF 3.

Developer asked to identify and report plot misuse as colonies remain under DLF maintenance pending MCG handover.

The Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) has directed DLF to step up monitoring of vacant residential plots in DLF 3, Gurugram, following complaints of misuse. Since the licensed plotted colonies have not yet been handed over to the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), DLF continues to be responsible for maintenance and essential services. DTCP has asked the developer to regularly monitor vacant plots and buildings and report any violations or misuse to the department for further action. The move aims to prevent activities or construction that violate permitted land-use and planning norms. Residents have welcomed the directive, stressing the need for regular inspections of plots that remain unused for extended periods. They also called for a clear complaint mechanism and quicker action when violations are reported. The direction reinforces DLF’s role in monitoring the colonies until the formal handover takes place and seeks greater coordination between the developer, residents and planning authorities to ensure compliance with development regulations.
