HiLITE Group to Invest ₹25,000 Crore Across Kerala Over Next Five Years
Kochi: HiLITE Group has announced an ambitious investment of ₹25,000 crore over the next five years to develop 50 million sq. ft. of real estate across Kerala. The expansion will span retail malls, IT parks, healthcare, education, residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, while strengthening the company's presence in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across the state.
A key focus of the expansion strategy is the rollout of HiLITE Centre and HiLITE Countryside formats, designed to bring organised retail, entertainment, dining and premium lifestyle experiences to emerging urban and semi-urban markets. While HiLITE Centre targets growing Tier 2 cities, HiLITE Countryside is tailored for smaller towns, combining national brands with regional businesses to create locally relevant retail destinations.
The expansion is already underway with the launch of the nearly 3 lakh sq. ft. HiLITE Countryside Chemmad in Malappuram district. Upcoming developments include HiLITE Centres at Kunnamkulam, Mannarkkad and Nilambur, along with HiLITE Countryside Thamarassery, further strengthening the company's statewide retail network.
HiLITE Group is also developing India's largest World Trade Center project at WTC Kozhikode, a 12.5 million sq. ft. mixed-use business destination located within HiLITE City on the Kozhikode Bypass. The project's first phase, WTC Learning Park, a dedicated education hub, is nearing completion.
In Kochi, the company is preparing to launch HiLITE Boulevard at Willingdon Island, envisioned as Kerala's first waterfront retail and leisure destination featuring entertainment, dining and immersive lifestyle experiences.
Beyond retail, HiLITE Group continues to expand its presence in the technology sector through YOO Hub Trivandrum, India's first branded IT park developed in partnership with global luxury design brand YOO and International Workplace Group (IWG). The company is also developing Cyber Hub and Cyber Tower at Cyberpark Kozhikode to provide modern office infrastructure for technology companies and startups.
The Group's expansion extends into education and wellness. The White School International, Kerala's first IB Continuum School, is expanding through new campuses across multiple cities, while Mandara Women's Wellness by Elanine is being developed as India's first holistic wellness centre dedicated exclusively to women's health and wellbeing.
Speaking on the expansion, Ajil Muhammed, CEO of HiLITE Group, said every project across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities will maintain consistent standards of quality and safety while supporting local economies, creating employment opportunities and expanding consumer choice across Kerala.
With its multi-sector investment strategy, HiLITE Group aims to accelerate regional development, strengthen organised retail infrastructure and create integrated lifestyle destinations that support Kerala's long-term economic growth.
