The Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd (MADC) has invited bids to lease a 3.70-acre plot near Shirdi International Airport for developing a five-star-category hotel with 100 rooms. The land spans approximately 14,973 sq m and will be offered on a 49-year lease. According to the tender document, the minimum lease premium has been fixed at ₹3,000 per sq m, translating to around ₹4.49 crore for the entire plot. The site is located outside the airport area and falls within a mixed-use zone. Shirdi is a major religious destination in Maharashtra, attracting more than 2 crore devotees annually to the Sai Baba temple from across India and abroad. MADC, a Maharashtra government undertaking responsible for airport and aviation infrastructure development, has identified two plots covering nearly four acres for the proposed hospitality development. The tender specifically covers the 3.70-acre parcel.
