Rajasthan Expands Clean Energy Roadmap Beyond Solar.

Wind-solar hybrids, battery storage and green hydrogen emerge as key pillars of the state’s renewable energy strategy.

Rajasthan is broadening its renewable energy strategy beyond standalone solar projects, with a growing focus on wind-solar hybrid systems, battery energy storage and green hydrogen. Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) CMD Rohit Gupta outlined the state’s clean energy roadmap at a renewable energy roadshow in Jaipur organised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The development comes as India crosses the 300 GW non-fossil fuel capacity milestone. MNRE data showed installed non-fossil capacity reached 300.50 GW as of July 31, 2026, representing more than 54% of the country’s total power generation capacity. The Jaipur roadshow brought together government officials, industry associations, project developers and investors to discuss renewable energy opportunities and commercial models. The upcoming Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026 will be held from November 2–5 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, alongside major international clean-energy events.
