Refex Green Power Wins SJVN Order for 80-MW Wind Project in Andhra Pradesh

₹3.88/Unit Tariff Under 25-Year PPA; Kurnool Project to Begin Power Supply Within 24 Months.

Refex Green Power Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Refex Renewables & Infrastructure Ltd, has secured a Letter of Award from state-run SJVN Ltd to develop an 80-MW wind power project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The project was awarded through a competitive bidding process, with the Letter of Award dated September 4. Refex Green Power will be responsible for developing the complete wind power capacity under the domestic framework. Under the arrangement, SJVN will enter into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Refex Green Power or its special purpose vehicle. Electricity generated from the project will be supplied at a discovered tariff of ₹3.88 per kWh. Unlike a fixed-price EPC contract, the project does not have a specified lump-sum contract value. Revenue will accrue over the PPA period based on the volume of electricity supplied to the grid. Refex Renewables said full-capacity power supply is scheduled to commence within 24 months of the PPA’s effective date.
