Advanced waste-to-energy plants to boost clean fuel output and urban sustainability
REnergy Dynamics Wins Two Waste-to-Compressed Biogas Projects from Refex Renewables.
REnergy Dynamics has secured two waste-to-compressed biogas (CBG) projects from Refex Renewables, strengthening its footprint in India’s bioenergy sector. The projects include a 12.5 tonnes-per-day CBG plant in Coimbatore and a 10 TPD facility in Salem. Both plants will process the organic fraction of municipal solid waste using advanced two-stage mesophilic anaerobic digestion with continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) technology. REnergy Dynamics will handle engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), along with one year of operations and maintenance, ensuring reliable performance after commissioning. Together, the facilities will process about 550 tonnes of waste daily, helping cut landfill dependency and improve urban waste management. The projects are expected to displace nearly 2.9 lakh tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually by capturing methane and converting it into clean bioenergy. Kushagra Nandan, CMD of REnergy Dynamics, called the projects a major milestone, while Refex Renewables MD Kalpesh Kumar said the partnership reflects a shared vision for scalable, high-impact waste-to-energy solutions.
