Emmvee has commissioned a new 2 GWp solar module manufacturing facility near Bengaluru International Airport, raising its total module capacity to 6.6 GWp and solar cell capacity to 2.5 GWp.
The 4 lakh sq ft plant will employ over 500 people and is equipped with advanced automation and quality control systems, enabling production of various module sizes and formats. This expansion supports India's goal of solar manufacturing self-reliance and contributes to its renewable energy targets. Emmvee, which now employs over 2,000 personnel, aims to enhance both production capacity and technological capabilities. India's installed solar capacity stands at 105.65 GW, according to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), underscoring the growing demand for domestic solar manufacturing.
