Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy has said India is making remarkable progress in manufacturing, innovation, green energy, and sustainable mobility under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at the launch of Telangana-based KETO Motors' first commercial electric bus, Reddy described the milestone as a reflection of India's growing indigenous manufacturing capabilities and commitment to building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He said electric mobility is not just an alternative mode of transport but a key driver of energy security, reduced pollution, lower fuel import dependence, and technological self-reliance. The minister reaffirmed the Centre's commitment to strengthening the entire electric vehicle ecosystem by supporting vehicle and battery manufacturing, expanding charging infrastructure, promoting research, and developing skilled manpower. Reddy also praised Telangana-based enterprises for contributing to India's EV revolution through indigenous innovations that strengthen public transport, create employment opportunities, and support sustainable economic growth across the country.
