Delhi Court Orders Framing of Charges in Greenopolis Housing Project Case.

A Delhi court has ordered the framing of criminal charges against directors of Three C Shelters Pvt Ltd in connection with the stalled Greenopolis housing project in Gurugram. The court held that a prima facie case of cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy exists against the accused for allegedly misleading homebuyers. Additional Sessions Judge Sheetal Chaudhary Pradhan, in an order dated April 23, directed charges under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120B of the IPC against Surpreet Singh Suri, Nirmal Singh, Vidur Bhardwaj, and the company. The case stems from a 2017 FIR registered by the Economic Offences Wing in response to complaints from buyers. Prosecutors allege that while approved building plans disclosed a chemical effluent drain and high-tension power lines on the project land, these were deliberately omitted from marketing brochures and buyer agreements. Flats promised by 2015 remain incomplete, leaving buyers burdened with rent and EMIs.
