ED Attaches Rs 44 Crore Assets of Builder Lalit Tekchandani.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth ₹44 crore belonging to arrested builder Lalit Tekchandani and his associates in a money-laundering case. The attached properties include a villa in Dubai, residential and commercial properties in Mumbai, land parcels in Pune, and fixed deposits.
Previously, ED had frozen investments worth ₹158 crore in the same case. The agency will notify Dubai authorities through legal channels to prevent the villa’s sale. Tekchandani, who has political links, faced legal trouble two years ago when homebuyers filed fraud complaints against him.
