Safety First: No More Delays in Building Repairs.

Gurugram Administration Cracks Down on Builders Over Delayed Structural Repairs.

The Gurugram district administration has issued a strong warning to builders over delays in carrying out repair works recommended in structural audit reports. The matter was reviewed in a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar with builder representatives and Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) from 15 housing societies covered in the first phase of audits. Despite the completion of audits in several societies, repair and improvement works remain pending. The DC directed District Town Planner (Enforcement) Amit Madholia to initiate action against builders who fail to begin work within the next 15 days. Builders have been instructed to immediately start and complete repairs within the stipulated timelines. In a significant move, RWAs have been permitted to undertake repair work independently where builders default, provided all safety norms and prescribed procedures are strictly followed. The administration reiterated its commitment to resident safety and timely compliance.
