Data for India's Akhil Wable Buys Vasant Vihar Plot for ₹113 Cr Amid South Delhi Property Surge

Akhil Wable, founder of Data for India, has acquired a 1,280-square-yard plot in South Delhi’s posh Vasant Vihar for ₹113 crore from Eleannt Enterprises, marking one of the most high-value land deals in the area. Eleannt had bought the same plot earlier this year for ₹95 crore and paid ₹6.65 crore in stamp duty. The transaction reflects the soaring appetite for luxury real estate in South Delhi, where limited inventory and growing demand have pushed prices to ₹9–12 lakh per sq. yd. However, the plot's proximity to the ridge area has triggered concerns over construction permissions. With an estimated ₹5.65 lakh crore in real estate potential, South Delhi’s 42 Category A, B, and C colonies offer about 18,446 premium plots. Vasant Vihar, part of the elite Category A group, remains a top choice for ultra-HNIs and investors eyeing long-term value in the capital’s most exclusive neighbourhoods.
